The program prepares high-level applied design talents for the era of digital civilization, AI, creative industries, and future technologies.
Design today goes beyond traditional forms. It now involves research, planning, and implementation for complex social and technical systems. The program focuses on digital communication, intelligent products, smart spaces, and computational creativity.
Key areas include:
Media – Interaction – Space – Computation
These cover digital media, immersive experiences, embodied interaction, generative design, data storytelling, algorithm-driven creativity, and virtual environments.
Students learn through courses, studio work, internships, and degree projects. The training is project-driven and practice-oriented.
Graduates gain strong design skills, digital and AI literacy, interdisciplinary teamwork, and social responsibility. They can work in fields such as digital creativity, smart products, interactive experiences, spatial design, data visualization, virtual content, and innovation consulting.

II. Training Model and Methods
1. Project-Based Teaching
Adopt case studies, workshops, and project-based teaching to enhance problem analysis and solution generation in real-world contexts. Integrate theory and practice through design experiments and project iterations to strengthen innovation capacity.
2. Outcome-Oriented Training
Emphasize practical skills and the translation of outcomes into tangible results. Connect course projects, professional practice, and final degree projects. Conduct design practice around real-world issues to produce professional outcomes that can be presented and applied.
3. Dual-Supervisor System
Implement a collaborative mechanism led by an on-campus supervisor and supported by an off-campus industry supervisor. The on-campus supervisor oversees academic integrity and research methodology; the off-campus supervisor focuses on practice and industry standards.
4. International Joint Training
Establish “2+1” dual master’s degree programs in partnership with international universities. Provide overseas study opportunities to broaden global perspectives and cross-cultural competence.
5. Personalized Training Plan
Within two months of enrollment, each student shall develop a personalized training plan under the guidance of their supervisor, covering coursework, professional practice, final degree project, and thesis. Any adjustments must be approved by the supervisor and the school.
