With her cross-cultural and multidisciplinary background, Xiaowen is skilled in exploring and proposing sustainable and functional solutions for complex urban projects that integrate unique social, ecological, and cultural attributes of the site. Her understanding of both Eastern and Western cultures gives her a global perspective and approach to projects. She worked on urban projects ranging from large-scale urban design projects in Prague, to ecologically sensitive projects such as the St. Patrick Island master planning in Canada, density constrained urban plazas in New York such as 50 West Street. Her work is influenced by diverse experiences from installation art, architecture, landscape design to urban planning. Through her design work, she seeks to promote healthy, sustainable urban setting that create opportunities for cities to develop sustainable and efficiently.
